Help with wireing
I need help to identify the wireing harness that goes to the rad
support on the driversside. I have the High and low beam wires figured out but have two harnesses that have two wires in each harness that i do not know what they are for. is one for front signal lights and one for park lights? How do i get power to the emblem that sits in the grill to work on park lights and headlights.
Ouyr car is a 54 Hornet Hollywood It has been many years since i restored a 54 Hudson. thanks duncan

Is this a ready-made harness that you purchased? Were there no markings on it, or explanation as to what the separate harnesses were for? Is the wire perhaps color-coded to replicate the original wiring, in which case an original wiring diagram could be the key to your success? If it was a ready-made harness, what company made it? Have you contacted them?
By process of elimination, what gizmo's are NOT served by harnesses, once your main harness is attached? That might be the key.
One would assume that each of the two 2-wire harnesses goes to one headlight (high and low beams) but that leaves the parking and signal lights un-harnessed. Unless you already have the harness to both headlights, in which case the 2-wire harnesses would appear to go to the signal and parking lights, on each side.0 -
The wire for the grille ornament should be red, and is fed by various connectors, to the tail light connection of the main light switch. The other two wires each side are for the indicators, and ground. the white wire should be the park lamp, and there should be a green and black wire for the indicators. However, Hudson were notorious ofr using wires that faded to nondescript greyish brown, so good luck! Best to check each wire with a meter to see which one is live when the switch is in park position.
