Here it is Thanksgiving and no sign of my NOVEMBER/DECEMBER WTN.

Each month it gets to me later and later...Even regular mail shouldn't take this long.

  • Tom, mine is usually very consistent but it has occasionally taken much longer than it should. I think it is more a poor postal system not handling magazines promptly more than anything else. The other day I read about a postal worker that had something like ten years worth of mail in the back of his van because he never felt like finishing his route. I have a customer who lives on the end of a road and his mailman won't always go up his street so often his mail all comes on one day or gets dropped at the end of the road where he finds it when he comes home from work. He has complained but it only made the problem worse so he just lives with what he gets now. A sad state of affairs if you ask me. Too many hard working people looking for work to have to let bad employees stay.

Tom, if it's not there by Monday, call the membership chairman, Charlotte Sargent, and ask her to mail you a replacement (Charlotte's phone and e-mail are in every WTN).

The HET Club officers are excited to make our WTN and get them in the mail promptly. All those WTNs are really excited and ready for that quick trip to those expectant members who are eagerly waiting for their HUDSON NECTOR fix. Some WTNs are happy to be delivered on time by mail. Other WTNs are sad because some local mail systems are slow to deliver or even (forbid) loose a WTN (how dare they). Postmaster General please fix the delivery system. Oops. I posted this on the wrong forum!

Don't hold your breath if you are hoping the new administration will fix this with a line item cut....

If yer gittin' it First Class and it still hasn't arrived - you got a postal problem.

If yer gittin' it regular mail and it still hasn't arrived - you got a personal problem!!!! :D

I git mine 1st class - and it arrived the 15th.

Alex, You are rather mean spirited...(humor). For a long time I was one of those that would read the posts and wonder when my WTN would show up. Then, someone mentioned "First Class." What a swell idea. It works out that I get my WTN before the first post hits the Forum. Life is so wonderful here in America. And it just get's better. I have never figured out how, if I get my WTN first class mail, it shows up five or more weeks sooner. In the long run, it is such a small price to pay--by the way, I have already given my copy away to a friend who is in the process of buying a Hudson.;)

Don't know how I got (apparently) the best post office in the country- I don't think I deserve it. I got my WTN about a week and a half ago, I think- I also generally get the Oliver tractor magazine (out of Illinois) before most of the rest of the country. Luck of the draw, I think. . .

Me too, Brownie, me too. First class is the only way to go. And I now get mine anywhere from 2 to 3 weeks, at least, sooner than with regular mail. Worth every nickle.

Before I switched to First Class ($5 more), I would never expect mine to arrive before the first week of the following month.

    YEAH!

Mine arrived yesterday the 29th! WOW! What an awesome job on not only the issue but the calendar.

Hats off and a big thank you to all that put forth the work and effort and know that it is extremely appreciated by all.

I think that the extra $5 at renewal time will be well worth not having to go through the 'waiting withdrawels' next year! LOL

I paid the xtra $5 for delivery the first two years I was in the Club....All it got me $5 out of my pocket....Delivery was STILL Horrible.

Maybe I can get my Bills mailed to me via WTN shipping department...hahahahahhahaahah

I wish late WTNs were my only concern. Last year the mail system here was terrible. Paid bills not arriving on time resulting in late payment fees higher interest on credit card. Stopped using credit card because every month there was a late payment fee. Our home almost went up for sale for none payment of taxes because of the mail. Things are better now after many conversations with the post master. The extra $5 has been well worth it to cure my Hudson fix. Also, I joined 4 chapters for their monthly news letters. The Nov/Dec WTN was especially interesting to us because there was a picture of our 2 year old grandson Alexander in it. Hope you all receive your WTN soon. Lee

OK, you've convinced me! It would be worth an extra buck an issue to see what you guys are talking about. I spent almost that much on a dry burger and cold bun at the game last night.

Don't know what you blokes are complaing about, I won't get to see mine till about the middle of this month, tried Air Mail, not much better , but heaps dearer to this side of the ditch.

My grandson Alexander (2 1/2 years old) received his first WTN today. My copy arrived about 3 week ago. Lee
  • Lee, you should have coughed up the extra $5 so Alexander could get his copy early.

I'll say what one of stupid politicians once said about a question she was asked in Parliament..

."PLEASE EXPLAIN: . Not savvy with this version.
  • Huddy, it was an attempt at humor. Many of the magazines I subscribe to now offer online versions of their magazines. I prefer the actual magazine in my hand but an online version is never late in the mail. WTN is not available online, that was the joke.

Thanks harry, we dumb Aussie's take a while to understand your Yankee Humour, as you do ours.

Just wait till we hit your shores in 2009, then it will be on for young and old alike.LOL.
  • Huddy42, I look forward to the invasion, and don't worry about missing the humor, oft times I'm the only one who see's it. I guess as long as I keep myself laughing I'm ahead.

Harry you are so right. I thought I had and was surprised to find out Alexander received it so late. That's when I realized I goofed. That will be corrected. Have a good day, Lee
