Blenheim Hudson key case

Just realized the other day after taking the keys out of the 51 Pacemaker that the key case is an original Blenheim Hudson key case with the address on it. Nice piece of history to go along with the car. I don't know if the pics will come out but I'm posting them anyway. I believe Mark Hudson said his Wasp was purchased from that dealer. Pretty cool !!!     How cool that a 57 year old leather key case is still quite serviceable. Back in the day, these were quite popular. Nice original piece.

    That is a nice piece to have. Our car still has the original dealer logo plate on the back . . . I'm sure it will stay there indefinately. Ain't nostalgia grand?:rolleyes:

    Yes it is a nice piece to have Russell and I am going to clean it up and treat it with some leather conditioner. It will be cool when people look inside the car and see it at cruise-ins and local car shows. Richie.

    My 48 Hudson Commadore eight came from that dealer also. It was in center city Philadelphia. I used to have the matching plate for the trunk, but it got lost in one of the three retorations. I'll have to look in the "Parts" cabinet and see if it is still with us.

    Matching dealer plate, original owner's manual in the glove box and a 'lectric razor accessory just so you can shave on the way to the cruise-in!:D

    Richie, don't put anything on that key case except for a leather conditioner named Black Rock. I use it on all the saddles I repair and all other leather products. Most other leather products will cause your case to deteriorate quicker than if you just leave it alone. Black Rock is a creme that won't stain the leather or break down the fibers. I use it on new and antique saddles and our leather furniture. I've seen lots of old leather ruined by neatsfoot oil and similar products. If the leather is dirty a little saddle soap won't hurt but don't over do it, then treat with Black Rock.

    Richie, that's the stuff. When you first put it on the leather it will seem sticky but that goes away quickly. This is great stuff, I swear by it.
