I thought it would be interesting for all those interested to list all the different and rare Hudson memoribilia and parts that they have. I bet it will open some eyes. For example, I know Bill Albright has a factory NASCAR tach on one of his converts. Some of the items I have: an original "Hudson Hornet" Dealer window Neon sign, a couple 1948 dealer "floatie" pens, a Marx Fire Chief toy car, Early 50's Japanese made Hudson toy car w box (plus a couple other Hudson promo cars), complete set of Hudson advertising filmstrips and accompaning records w salesman's case, various literature, both 1948 first and second editions of "This Time It's Hudson" song books and as for my Hudson vehicles: a 1948 Commodore Sedan, a 51 Hornet Club Coupe and a 52 Hornet Club Coupe w a dealer purchased factory 7X engine.

    I'd like to see some photos of that! Do you have a photohosting site with pics of your cars?

    I don't have a single piece of RARE memorabilia. Just dealer brochures, magazine ads, trim pieces, etc.

    I did see a Hudson dealer brochure on ebay the other day from the war years that highlighted what the Hudson factory was doing to support the war effort.
  • well, i also have a marx fire chief car, a set of color chips for 1949, a glare proof rear view mirror with its box, an alloy forms HO scale 49 sedan kit, a hudson keychain/blank key, a post card saying the new stepdowns were coming soon, a dealer broshure for 1950( i think), a set of glasses with 1909 hudsons on them, an old cereal box with a 48 that could be cut out and folded in half for the kiddies to entertain themselve back then...and of course some doc hudson stuff. I'll try to get hubby to help me get some pics posted for you all. Hudsonly, Lisa G

    I have an extensive HET literature collection, the most rare item being a "Parts List" covering all models from '09 to '19 that is 4" thick & lists not only mechanical parts but body parts with illustrations of every body style inc. not existant types such as town cars, landaulets, & limousines.

    I have an original green plastic stepdown model, a fire chief's model, & several of the English Dinky toy stepdowns. I have an original dealership clock, restored & running, from the dealership in Ind. where I once worked + other dealer knicknacks inc. thermometers, 5 Star recognition plaque, etc. I have a number of original ads, framed, inc. several rare ones such as Railton. I have several original factory tools. I have an original large dealership porcelain "HUDSON TERRAPLANE" sign as well as a "This Time It's Hudson" 3 color neon sign that went in the front window. I have a number of accessories, still boxed, that were placed in the showroom as well as gallon containers of Hudsonite & shock fluid + smaller containers of liquids. That's all I can think of for now - used to have a lot more but have sold some of it over the last 2 years.

    I think I have every WTN from the mid-60's.

    Cool items!

    How about transferring those films to DVD?

    2 items I think would be cool to have

    * 1 of them Float-y pens
    (does the car turn "naked" when you turn the pen upside down?)

    * 1 of them Stepdown Promo Models

    I think many of you have more $$ into the memoribilia than I have in both my cars so far :p (I'm just jealous ;))
  • Here is some of my Hudson "stuff", and I have lot's more that isn't pictured here! Half my living room is filled with parts and pieces and when folks come over they just look at me and shake their head....

    Happy Holidays to all,

    Aaron

    Great pic and display!
  • Hey Arkiejazz. I really don't know anything about "Lone Star Motors Inc". But what I have is an old license plate topper. It says Amarillo Texas across the top, Has LONE STAR MOTORS INC in the middle and says "Your Hudson Dealer" across the bottom. Its about 10 inches long from side to side and about three inches tall. The background color is a reddish orange and the lettering is just the natural aluminum color of the metal. Kind of a neat piece, but Amarillo is a long way from Seattle, so I don't have any specifics or personal knowledge about the dealership. Thanks, Aaron
