Front wheel cylinders

I called a local parts store with wheel cylinder part numbers that I took from researching several forum members web pages and came up with WC9090 and WC9091 for stepdowns 48 to 54 not including the Jet. The parts store said those numbers will fit 53 and 54 but not a 51 Pacemaker. What would be the difference? Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Richie.

    Riche - Those are the correct part numbers for all Pacemakers thru to the 1954 Wasp.

    Richie,as Jerry said,they will work the same. The difference in Pacemaker,Wasp the cylinder bores were 1-1/16th. VS. 1-1/8th, but exactly the same as exterior and bolt pattern. Why they did this-who knows??.

    Richie, A local Hudson owner has the 11 inch Hornet brakes on the front of his 47-8 cyl Hudson. And to help in Stopping a bit better he installed the wheel cylinders that fit the 1966 Ambassador with V-8 engine. They are 1 3/16 while the Hornet is 1 1/8 and they line up with the brake bands. I test drove it last weekend and it Stops much better than my 46 with Hornet brakes up front.

    Checker # Raybestos--WC37125 and WC37126 ( heavyduty for the AMC)

    Left - Raybestos WC37083 or WC9090, Bendix 33461



    Right - Raybestos WC37084 or WC9091, Bendix 33462
