Hash hood springs
I know most of you stepdown guys don't have to deal with this but there are some Hash guys here who may have an answer to my question. I finally have the hood hinges adjusted correctly and I'm not sure how tight the springs should be wound. I can put them on by hand and they will hold the hood up, dangerously, there is a sense of impending doom that it may come crashing down on my noggin. I'm not sure if they are just worn out or should I just pull them around half a turn to make them tighter. If they are too tight I think they will hold the back of the hood up? It is possible after 53 years or so they just need to be replaced. Who is our Hash hood expert on this forum? Also, who makes the rubber molding for the hood? After I post this I will go to K-Gap's website to see if they have what I need.
