Seems like a coincidence as a similar 52 Convert was advertised just a few weeks ago....

Am I the only guy out here who wouldn't bother replying to a $40,000 item without a picture?

This is a Guy trying to make a buck by selling off a car he dosn't own, but knows it might be buyable at the right price.

I contacted him a few weeks ago, when he was advertising the same car for $35, 000, and found out what was up, when he sent me a picture.

He knows if he puts in a picture, there's some of us that would recognize the car, and probably bypass him if we were really serious about buying the car, and go straight to the owner.

  • Are you saying that the person posting the ad is a middleman, scam artist or both?

Not really either one. I think he might even be a friend of the car's owner, ( or at least I know the owner definately knows who this fellow is), and maybe thinks he's doing him a service ?

I don't know how much the Guy who posted the ad is keeping for himself, if any, if it sells, or if he plans on giving it all back to the owner.

  • If you know who the owner is why don't you contact him and ask him if he is selling his car? If he wants to use the lister as his salesperson there is still no harm in contacting him, if he doesn't it may benefit the owner to get the car listed at his selling price so he can sell it. It might also benefit someone looking for a convertible at an affordable price.
