The following picture is of a 1954 Hudson Super Wasp that participated in the 2004 Laughlin Economy run. Who owns the car? PM or Email if you would rather not post here... Thanks

  • Is that Toro red?
  • It sure is a beauty.
  • I'm thinking I like that red when I paint my 54 Hornet Hollywood...
  • I usually don't care for cars painted red, but darker reds like this are beautiful. Would you do red and white leather then?
  • Yes already planning on that as the interior is red and white leather now of course the previous owner did paint stripes on. Have to redo all of that.

Hello Ken, How are you and your "Best" friend doing? I don't know the name of the person that owns '54 Hollywood, but I do recall that a young fellow(Under 40) bought this car for his father. The young fellow had a pre-stepdown with a Brand X front wheel drive. Think he was from Lost Wages and No it's not Matt.
  • I wish it was me!!LOL

I think you're thinking of Rod Hudson, he has the FWD '46 and he bought a 48 or 49 Convertible for his Dad. I don't think this is his car.

    Hmmm..................................................

Going for a paint job on this one first part of summer. Really looking seriously at this color with white on top and at the rear quarter. My first Hornet 1951 was Burgundy. This one has a Borg Warner Trans, runs good, and had no brakes to now standard brakes. I scraped this car from at least 3 paint jobs down to metal and finally primer. Thanx Ken for all the wiring help, etc. Continental club April17th, 2009, Austin, TX
  • Since we're talking paint. I saw a 54 Hornet with red bottom and a white top. Looked real good in the pic.. Thinking about painting my 52 brougham the same, hope I can do it justice. Bob
