K-Gap's phone number is coming up as having been disconnected. Anyone have a current status on their operation?

Park, the phone service out in that end of LA County is pretty marginal. I always get results if I email Dany Spring at: SpringSpeedDemon@aol.com We have had a really big rain and lots of wind, these last few days and I am sure that there are probably lines down out there.

I thought it might have been weather, someone digging, etc., but it's coming up as disconnected vs. out of service.

I too, have been trying to contact KGap via phone for quite some time now, to no avail. Phone seemed to go to message, but no returns. I always phoned during business hours as stated on their answering machine.

    I'll try the email method.

    silverone:

If the weather got to the phones, and Pinon Hills is way up there NW of Victorville, then computer Aol is not going to get in there also, as aol is telephone line. Unless he has cable, which I doubt. I think we just have to wait things out. Hope I'm wrong!!
  • I ordered some hood bumpers the other day and got a reply right away they were sending the order, maybe it was an automated reply but I have always received my orders promptly so I expect my parts soon.

Thanks V. Looks like their phone company uses a very inappropriate "intercept" message when a phone is merely out of service for weather or whatever.

  • When Park mentioned a very inappropriate "intercept" message, I was thinking more along the lines of something like !@#$%^.

Wow, 2 feet of snow in Pinon Hills, I'm impressed. We got close to 3" of rain where I am, so I am officially announcing the end of fire season for the year. Now if we could just get about 2" am month for the rest of the winter it would be welcome. Unfortunately when we get rain it is usually all at once.

End of the fire season - does that mean the beginning of mud slide season??

I'm willing to take wagers that with all the snow north of us Ole Missy and the river system will be high (read that "flood stage") again next spring.

Yes Alex, I have always told people that where I live we have two seasons, the fire season and the flood season. There is never the right amount of rain in So CAl, either too little or too much. The worst part is all of the sunshine, man does it get boring!! LOL
