47 Hudson door panels

I would like to reupholster my 47 Commodore 6. I like to keep everything original and am wondering how can I, or does anybody reproduce the panels with the embossed Hudson logo? Seems like years ago I read a "how to" article on embossing vinyl. Also the fabric portion may be hard to find as well. Any suggestions? Also, I've read all the advertisements, but before I buy some, does Por-15 really meet the test of time? I've never spoken to anyone who has actually used it. I'm sceptical of "rust cures." Thanks.

    hello, I've seen several cars with POR used apparently with good results, started to purchase some but read an article in a magazine called Auto Restorer. They report on some products from time to time and did an article on a comparison of POR and Eastwoods Rust Encapsulator(ck my spelling). Supposidely they tested the products by painting half of a trunk lid, I think, with each product. They placed the lid in a car wash and told the worker in there to hit it with the water hose whenever he felt like it. Some time later they went back to check it Some of their comments refered to the resistance to sunlite, seems like the POR was not UV resistant, and the Rust Encap. withstood the water blasts better. If you or someone you know has access to the mag called Auto Restorer, you can check the article out, probably 2-3 years ago.     Thanks for the info about the Por-15. I need to paint my Hudson, then redo the interior. I've got an old Overland that I was going to use the Por 15 on while I've got it all apart. My Hudson runs and drives so well I don't want to take it apart, just repaint. If it ever wears out I'll completely restore it. I get a lot of looks however with it as is. It was sitting at a used car lot and I bought it. Guy told me he couldn't guarantee it, but it's proved to be more dependable than my 76 Chevy truck. Anyway, I could go on about the Hudson all night.
