Steering wheel puller

1. Can I rent or borrow a steering wheel puller for a 46 from some one? I'd like to paint the wheel.
2. How do I remove the horn button without damaging it?
Thanks.

On Jets, you need to disconnect the horn wire at horn relay. Then push down on horn button, turn to release (righty tighty, lefty loosey), and remove button. Then remove horn wire assembly. Then remove steering wheel nut and pull off steering wheel. I would think it should be similar on other Hudsons.0

Regarding the steering wheel removal tool, I found an old early 1950's Snap-On universal steering wheel removal kit pretty much complete in its metal box on Ebay. I was able to purchase it for around $35.00, but admittedly that was a bargain price and these same Snap-On steering wheel kits generally go for around $75.00 on Ebay. If you can't find one to borrow, then you can consider this route and then have the kit to lend to others after you're done with it!0
