Pinto Fuel Pump

Can you use a Ford Pinto Fuel pump on a 1940 Hudson 212c.i. engine? The spacer block is the same as the one that fits a 308 hornet engine. If so does anyone have a part number and what or what year Pinto will fit?

    I used a pinto pump on my 202 Jet, It worked great, I think it was about 1980, Sorry but I don't have the part number.

    Boozer-NO,these pumps are different than the Pinto pump. Are you having a particular fuel concern?.

    The arm on the Pinto pump signals a Left hand turn and contacts the camshaft on the bottom. Works on 202, 232, 262, 308 and wide bottom (stepdown) 254s



    The one for your 40 signals a Right hand turn, and contacts the camshaft on the right side. Works on 175, 212, and narrow bottom 254s
