Looking for spring.

These are rare as the proverbial, "hens teeth!" Scott is also looking for some. I actually bought a NOS set, there is a right & left, on Ebay about 6 years ago. I have a couple of used ones, that work, but I am not at home right now and I can't remember whether mines are rights or lefts, they are both the same side. Which ones do you need?0

Hey Richard,
If possible I would like to be on the list after Bob!
I have only one each on either of my 36T doors but will have to check which side on the main 'glovebox' as well.
Thanks,
T Jeff0 -
What type of spring is it?
Any pictures?0 -
i don't know what your springs look like, but my local hardware store has huge spring selection and i found one for my '35 a few years ago. i just had to trim the legs slightly. regards, tp0

Also looking for spring here. I was going to make the smart remark but you beat me to it.
Have you checked with http://www.restorationspecialties.com in Wimber PA If you can send them a sample they'll work with ya. Especially if they think there's a market.
Otherwise there are a couple of routes you can take.
1. Buy some dead-soft spring wire from a steel supplier or a local machine shop and bend it to what you want and have them spring-temper it unless you know how to do it. Best route if there are sharp bends.
2. Buy some spring wire already tempered and bend it to what you want. Sharp bends will probably break, however.0 -

Do the 1936 Hudsons & Terraplanes use the same glove box door springs? What years were they the same? There must be a few people with spare doors & hinges. Regards Barry.0 -
I went out to the shop and looked at my dash on y 36 and the glove box door does not have a spring. But then again, the dash is all wood as is the glove box door. Figure that one out?0
