I assume you are talging about the lack of trim on the left and right?
That is correct on a 50 super. just an emblem on the right gauge cluster on the left but still had the large chrome center. with the 51 rear window, it loses some of the charm of a 50.
  • I'm all for originalality but this is a nice neat job which looks like the panel can be replaced with the right one any time. I'd would want these gauges instead of idiot lights if I drove the car alot , which looks like this person does. Nice clean looking Hudson!!

Vic, if this car had a v-8 in it, it is probably Ted Cyr's old, "Silver Bullet." Ted modified almost all of his cars. He passed away a couple of months ago.
  • Yes, This Is Teds Car. He Installed A Chev 350 With Air, I Bought It At His Auction And Had It For A Year Or So. Drove It To San Simeon One Year And Sold To Longtime Customer And H.e.t. Member Fred Elg Of Palm Springs. He Will Be Showing His 53 Hornet Coupe Mar 1st Along With Ivan Zarembas 51 Hornet Coupe And My 52 Hornet Coupe At Mcdonnells Golf Course In Downtown Palm Springs. We Will Have 3 Hornet Coupes All Different Years In A 200 Car Concours De Elegance This Weekend, Bill Albright
