Hudson dealers in New Mexico
Anyone have locations and addresses of old Hudson dealers in New Mexico? On some of the old ads with dealer maps they show quite a few in what today look like odd locations. Many were old mining towns that are nearly ghost towns at this point. Others appear to be in locations with relatively slow economies. I wonder how many of these dealerships may still be standing, even with other uses.
I travel all over the state for my work (commercial real estate appraiser) and I would love to know where they are so I can search for them while I'm out, and hopefully post photos when I find them.
Anyone have any such info?
Thanks!

Yes, I have a booklet on Hudson dealers around the world. There are 19 dealers listed for New Mexico.

I know there was one in Tucumcari - stopped there once in the '60s when either he was still in business or the building was still there. It would have been right on Rte. 66.
There were a LOT of Hudson dealerships in neighboring Colo., almost every town had one (don't bother to look for the one in Cortez tho as I bought him out "lock, stock, & barrel" for the munificent sum of $500, LOL). The BIG bonanza was the huge dealership in downtown Denver with stepdown convertibles, which belonged to the parts & service managers, sitting in the service area & the then AMC dealership using 6 Hudson trucks to deliver parts around the city! Had a "used car lot" on a back alley, which amongst other items, had a '36-7 T panel delivery for sale (have a pic of it with old HET pal Gary Klann leaning on it)!

To find the dealerships, go to the library and seek the old phone books and city directories. Just today I found 10 dealer listings in 2 different towns.
And I located a really neat 1914 Dealer building.
As you find something please post the name, location and years and I will add them to the Hudson Dealer book. or send me a pm.
Good hunting
