Stepdown steering shaft nut thread

Does anyone happen to know the thread size of the nut that holds the steering wheel on for a stepdown?

LOCAL HARDWARE, get a grade 6 or 8 fine thread 5/8 and if it's a bit thick { needs to be flush or less with top of post} just grind it down on ONE side so you have a good straight thread on the other side to start it on the post . Bud
