Looking pretty cool, come some ways, never heard back from the people here, pretty slack since they reconed they had some heads, love the way they set up the horns on the Hudsons, change the springs inside the handle mechizems and they will stay straight,an easy job to do,they turn up from time to time,I recently managed to get some brand new 1s from a club member, there just something about the late twenties and thirties cars, and fortunetly for us they arnt ever going to bring them out as a kit car so the numbers are only ever going to be low and we will be the privilaged few, after tearing 1 of these down Ford never had a patch on the Hudsosns and Essex's in these years

the altimate would be a 31 boat tail or a 29 -40s rag top

I just sudder when I think what they are worth in our dollars

the 31 that sold a while ago @ 110k US would work out on the @ about $200K NZ$ then freight and on road costs you would be looking around 210-215K NZ$ Phew, pipe dreams Hmmm theres always lotto I suppose
  • WOW that looks GREAT...I only wish mine was that nice or even that close to being driveable! I figure I am 10 years from driving...if I am lucky! Kyle

Good looking car. Thanks for sharing the pictures with us. I like the house too. My wife and I like large porches. Lee

It's looking very solid and road-able. Hope you have many good times in it this spring.

That luggage rack needs something, though. One of our local Hudson folks has a '33 with a similar rack, and he has mounted a soft drink cooler on the rack, full of cold "brew" for enjoyment when he gets to his destination.
  • yea the rack is in need of stuff!

still working out bugs and taking it easy on motor till i am certain all is fine now. i have to do some light wiring, and details before road trip. also rear end is real low geared only tops out around 45 , someone told me i need a 32 rearend to get higher speeds and lower engine rev. going to look into it. but my fords only do 40 45 so i am used to it but as smooth as she rides would like 50 or 55 !
  • thanks! our porch is about 24 feet long and 12 feet wide great for summer swingin!

might sell though move to florida!
