  • You might want to get hold of Noel Renner in Pleasant Hill, OH to find out. As a mechanic and one that has restored a few Hudsons and Terraplanes, I am sure he can help you.

    Arnie,

I did this a few years ago, so I hope my memory holds out..

I hope you have the donar car.. It will help a lot.. You will need...

Steering arm, steering stops mounted to the frame to limit steering arm travel.

Drag link and valve/actuator assembly and its mounting to the frame.

PS pump with mounting bracket and hoses

Dual harmonic balancer and dual waterpump plulley. Water pump.

Have the 54 year old hoses replaced by any good hydraulic hose shop.

Have the cylinder.valve assembly rebuilt by Larris Corp. (Google 'em) They will make yours just like new.

You can use your old waterpump by spacing the pulley with washers to align.

The PS steering arm has the ball facing the frame and the manual steering arm the ball faces the engine. they are also shaped a bit different. if you have to use your manual arm, you will have to make your own very long steering stops and you can turn the mounting of the valve/cylinder 180 degrees. Just two screws hold the two together. If I can be of further help, email me at HETdwad1939@att.net drop the HET or just PM me here. Good Luck, dave
