You can view individual photos of cars taken as they drove into the "Doc's Apple Blossom Meet" Sunday car show, in Front Royal, Virginia, May 11, 2008. It's taken me a BIT of time to get these published to the web, but at last, I'm finished. These are published as one of the "albums" on our Hudson Photo Album Site. http://hudsonpix.multiply.com/photos/album/288#

Just curious- Why are some of the photos color and some black and white?

Because in his rush to change film (the cars were coming in the front gate one after another) our photographer slipped a roll of b & w into the camera by mistake!
  • Nice cars and pic's. Thanks

Black and white photos can be neat, remember back in the fifties that's what most people used. Years ago when I rejoined the club (85) I was taking the same shot of cars with two cameras, one color , the other black and white. Gotta say I liked the b&w photo's as well if not better than the color.

I like the B&W photos - they make the cars seem so "period", especially the 20's and 30's cars.

I have, in the past, posted some color photos of pre-1940's cars on my old MSN web site (now kaput) that I changed to black & white (on my computer). They really looked good, especially those posed in front of a pre-20's mansion or other period venue.

  • Thanks! Nice cars and trucks. I look back at the pics in the photo albums when I was a kid, and they are all B & W. Looks real nostalgic I think.
