New Online Hudson Club page
I've always used the Hudson Club webpage to get into the forums, actually had it set as my "homepage" in my browser.
Whomever is responsible for the changes, they look fantastic. I've just now registered and haven't had a chance to cruise all the contents. I just wanted to offer my compliments to its looks and apparent functions. Including Hudson video shots.

Oh, very cool. I haven't been there for a while. Unfortunately, can't seem to load any of the videos.0

Russell...I over looked something when we moved the site off the test server. Videos work now. Sorry.....Duh!!! Thanks for the heads up......:D
FYI - Not everything on Hudsonclub.org is 100%. A few bugs and some things that could work better. Please bare with us while we tune and fix the bugs. The photo section is a bit rough, but most other features work fine.0 -
Actually folks, what we got here are two Hudson Club pages - one being built by Classicar @ http://www.hudsonclub.org and one being constructed by the HET club @ http://www.hetclub.org/ .
After some miscommunication - and a few acrid words flying around - I believe that both sides are now talking to each other and most of the problems are on the way to being solved. Eventually the sites will be linked to provide one large Hudson Club web site.
I think a lot of the problems with getting these two sites together is the old Hudson club bug-a-boo of a certain group's "we don't like it so we don't want it and besides we don't like change!!!" attitude. The Hudson club has been saddled with this problem for far to many years (Hey, dude, go ahead and throw your rocks - I been agitating in this club for 40 years and I can damn well give my opinion!!!)
I think our president, Mike Cherry, now that he knows about the problem, and ClassicCar moderator Ted are on the same page.
So lets enjoy BOTH Hudson club pages and contribute as we can. As the man says, you cain't say nothing bad until you get your fingers in the pie!!!!

Oh, yeah....we are just one big happy family here!!!0

The hudsonclub.org site is fantastic pulling together content from all sources to put together a one stop Hudson experience.
The HETClub.org site offers me the opportunity to have an e-mail account and links to the club store. However fails to update itself on a regular basis... more than once every 3-4 months.
If these two sites were one I would be very happy. If the differences between those who are in charge of the sites cannot be overcome then so be it.
This forum is one of my only regular links to club members and non who want to help me. The advice and help offered here is paramount to progressing our beloved cars and trucks. Putting the two sites together or making them work together instead of against one another will only help bring people into the club and raise awareness of HET cars and trucks.

I think if people go www.hudsonclub.org and click on the HET Club tab, they will see the we have integrated the HETClub.org site into the Hudsonclub.org site for a true one-stop expeirence. I don't see how a closer relationship could be achived than adding the entire HET site into our Hudson Car Club site.
What we want now is for people to submit their articles, photos, and video to the site. We also what to build a great techincal section. We want to make sure credit is given and we will carve out sections for anyone that wants to list their data EASY!!!
Every resigisered member of the site is an Author, so you can submit articles. Your write them and submit to the section you want. We review and approve the postings. Its very fast, easy, and clean looking.
We hope to see you there!!!0 -

Quite right. I overlooked hudsonclub.org 's link to hetclub.org now if they would just reciprocate that would be great.0 -

Great job with the new site and "moderating" the discussions offline to help move the old site forward!

Now if there was someway to intergrate sites like mine, Ken Cates and Gregg Maroney's on-line Hudson library - THAT would be something.
Oh, just noticed Gregg has his site linked - for the on-line library click on Enthusiasts Sites link, then on 1937 Terraplane Site and on that click on Tech Index Hudson Manuals. As is Ken Cates and now mine. We getting there.
I worry about my site - I'm 71, sure I plan on being around a while longer, but one never knows. I pay for my freewebs site - not much @ $45 a year. Less than a dollar a week. But who'll take it over after I'm not able to or not here. I would dearly love to see it incorporated into the Hudson club sites.

I can reformat your data for you and put that info on the new site site. I'll send you an email on what I would need from you, FTP access. You could still add to it and make changes.
I see that some sites like Ken Cates site, do not fit our screen frame and it would be messy to try to display his site in a frame on the HudsonClub.org site. Well, it was an good idea. Its better to just link those type of sites.0 -

Alex, for a test I did put in Gregg's Tech Library Index. Its under LINKS, so see if that is friendly or not to use. Pink!!! :rolleyes:0 -
Thank you Ted - that will be much easier for access. I've been working with Gregg supplying the manuals that I've scanned over the past 3 or 4 years, tho he has some stuff that he also put on there. I, having an interest so to speak, think it's a great resource.
