exhaust system
Do I need a muffler at the front of our hudson under passenger feet or could I go with a muffler at the back just in front of the gas tank. What size pipe should I use .The motor has been hopped up as much as I could do. I was thinking of larger size pipe from exhaust manifold to rear muffler then go one in and two pipes out to rear of car. thanks Ray:D

I think you'll get into heat problems if you put it crossways in front of the gas tank- Hudsons are prone to vapor lock anyhow, and pre-heating the gas isn't going to help in that regard. Also, the obvious fire hazard from getting it too hot.
My '48 has duals all the way from the headers, with two oval mufflers- there's not a lot of room, but there's room, if you plan it. Muffler shop needs to place the mufflers first, then bend pipe to fit.0 -
Sorry I said it wrong Could I use a one into two muffler at the original location just in front of the diff. would that be enough or do I need the
smaller muffler near the front of car also. Thanks for the reply Ray:D0
