Question: making round moulding on a 36 Terraplane.
I am in the process of doing rust repair on the rear quarters of my 36 Terraplane, and I need to replace parts of the half round body moulding were the rear fenders mount to. Has anyone made these pieces, and any ideas as how to make them. Right now I am trying to make small pieces using a 5/8" die on a bead roller. Any idea's would be helpfull.

Can you post any pictures of what you are doing, and the problem area? Also, where are you located?0

I will try to get pictures posted soon. I am in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
It is a 36 4door, the problem area's are were the fenders mount to the body there is a 5/8" diameter metal bead and part's of that are rusted away, mostly near the front of the rear fenders. I am just wandering if I am on the right track by useing a bead roller with a 5/8 die and some sheet metal?0 -
Their are several people here on this forum that are capable of doing this job or helping you with doing it yourself. As far as you being on the right track, we need to see the pictures. Hopefully you have the metal stripped so you can see just how far you need to replace.:)0
