1935 terraplane parts
I Received the following email:
Hi Folks-
I found a box of parts in the garage attic of my family's homestead. They're from my great granddad's 1935 Hudson Terraplane Deluxe. I 'd like to see them go to a 'good home', but am clueless as to how to do that. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.
This is what I have:
Owner's Manual
Rear windows: The split ones
Dash assembly
1 wheel
carburator
air filter
horn
left rear door window
Thank you in advance

WOW! Too bad this is such an old post. I would most definitely want some of these items, I just got a 1935 Terraplane this past weekend and could sure use some of this stuff. Oh well, day late and dollar short?0

I emailed Donna Stricklan at the address shown about a year ago when I first saw this thread. Never received a reply. I have a 35 Terraplane G and am looking for an air cleaner. The one on my car has no filter element or inside parts, just the shell with a screen over the top. If anyone has a complete unit and is interested in selling it please email me.

TOM, why not find a paper filter that you can fit in it with a little brain twisting and have a good filter with original looks ?---BUD0

None of the items listed by the lady, are particularly difficult to find, if you pursue the right channels. The way I always did it (when I got my '37 Terraplane 38 years ago) was to work up an 8-1/2 x 11 sheet with a description (and drawings or photos) of everything I needed for the car, then send it out to all the vendors listed in the White Triangle News, with a return envelope. Things are a bit easier nowadays with e-mail, but there are still some holdouts, so you can always fall back on the mailings. Two people I would try first, would be Dave Kostansek and Carl Weber, both of whom deal in parts for the older Hudsons. Also check Ebay; Carl seems to have hit the Mother Lode of NOS Hudson parts, and keeps putting up the most amazing "new" things for auction. Fortunately, things like engine items were used over several years so you're not looking for '1935 only' in many cases. Good luck! The parts definitely ARE out there!0
