'37 T utility cp.

Just received a download from an old H. S. buddy of mine who lives in the South with a pics of a great looking red '37 T util. cp., one with the rear compartment door open & the box slid out. Also a '51 H sd. He said both to be offered at an auction in Dec. in Raleigh, S. C.

He didn't say which auction co. or the exact date.

    YOUR hitten on my sore spot. Had one located that needed rebuilding, had a few pics , $$ was right , was talking to the guy via email and all of a sudden he dissapeared, mail bounced . Had family probs and all that good ? stuff . DANG DANG DANG BUD

    Hello,



    I have inherited a 37 utility coupe from my Father who passed away. I would be interested in knowing the value of this car. It is in good running shape, an original car, not a perfect restoration. This car might be going in one of the big winter auctions in Scottsdale Arizona. Any feed back on this car would be appreciated, and I can post pictures.

    Jon - I got a rather laconic reply from my friend. I think he sent me the e-mail by accident as I think that auction took place in Dec. '08 from what I could glean from his terse reply!

    If my father passed away and left me a '37 Utility Coupe (or anything else for that matter), I think the last thing I would be looking to do is selling it. The money gained will simply go away in short order, but the '37 will last many more generations, if taken care of. Shame to throw away a legacy like that.:(

    I second that R.L. ---we have many old family things from quite valuable to junk mans junk that is nothing more than old memories of good times gone by . Each item is handed down to someone in the family that shares these sentiments and NEVER NEVER to one who would even think of selling it. This has been going on in our family for 4-5 generations , BUD

    Brent, It's hard to determined a value on just a discription. But acording to the Old car price guide it would be somewhere around $15 to $20,000. Puting it in the Scotsdale auction is a whole nother story. Who knows?

    The old car hobby, like so much of the rest of the world, is full of folks who know the price of everything but the value of nothing...:rolleyes:
