I discovered this, about the Hudson at the auction....

So....on the surface of it...it would appear that someone bought it for $46,000 (price plus buyer's fee) and now wants to flip it and make some money on it. Not sure that the economic conditions are good for flipping such things, at the moment!

I find it hard to believe that it's already bid up 40+ with the wrong engine and steering wheel. Expecially this quick...
  • Take a look at the gap between the top front of the passenger door and the front fender. Is the gap really that bad or is it an optical illusion?

Plus what the heck is a Hollywood convertible.... I consider it comedy....

This looks like a car that was at the Orlando show a few years back. Had a 308,Really nice Gold paint. Had rust holes in rear frame ahead of the wheel on the drivers side. I put three fingers through one of them. Was labeled as a Golden anniv model (?). I asked the owner about the door panels being sewn in the 51 pattern(quilted vs piped). He got a little huffy and reminded me that it was a "special edition".It was a nice looking car, not authentic and way overpriced at over 100K as I recall.

I agree you could drive a truck thru the gap in the passenger door.....
  • Looks like this "'49" also has '50 or '51 side trim!
