engine bay colors
does any one know the factory colors for engine and engine bay restoration on a 53 superwasp? engine appears that it was originally silver with reddish primer.car is ebony black,is engine bay painted the same color? i want to restore as close to original as possible.i will post pics as soon as i figure out how.

SuperWasp912 - The firewall is painted body color. The inner fender shields were a black enamel semi-closs . Engine would have been silver. Accessories (air cleaner, starter, generator) would also been black enamel.

Thanks ,Jetman. I have fixed up several muscle cars ,but never done a serious stock restoration before.my S.W. is amazingly complete even to original belts and hoses,It also has the jack and tire tools still bolted down in the trunk.She is worth the effort to put her back in the same shape she was when she left Hudson factory.thanks for clarification. oh and by the way,i am also a halloween baby ,66 J.R.0
