vacuum windshield washer install

This is info I posted a while back to help another member. I hope it will be of help to you too.
Your Hornet should have left the factory with a push button in the center of the wiper control knob. If so, look on the back of the wiper control for two small lengths of brass tubing. Next, check your kit for a brass Tee fitting. That goes in the vacuum hose to the wiper motor. Then, install vacuum hose from the Tee to one side of the brass tubing on the back of your wiper control. To the other brass tubing, connect vacuum tubing from there to your washer tank.
Inside the car, below the dash, you'll see brass tubing below each wiper arm pedestal. Connect tubing to each. Then the end of each will connect to another brass Tee that should be in your kit. To the remaining fitting on the Tee, connect tubing to the remaining connection on your washer tank.
As far as I know, all tubing should pass through the large rubber bushing on the drivers side of the cowl.
Hope this didn;t confuse you too much. Good luck.0 -
I just went through the same thing with my 54 sedan. Go to this link, it is to an article on Trico Windshield Washers from the July/August 1979 WTN.

Ray-
You are not alone, we all do that. Seems we all know to make diagrams, put all parts and diagram in plastic baggie and then label it. Sure enough, we've all decided . . ."Oh, I'll remember how that goes back together!"
Then 6 years later, it's "I've never seen some of this stuff before, I swear!":D0 -
Yes you got that right. I want so bad to get the hudson back on the road.
Thanks again Ray:D:D0
