Rick, I like the progression from Green Pyramids, to walnut shells, to corncob media.
I get a grey sludge when I use the pyramids, but everything ends up a dull grey. The walnut shells (dry shine) will give it that first shine. I got a bar of jewlers rouge, and scrape about a table spoon of the shavings from the bar in with the walnut shells. But it's when I liberally coat the parts with Brasso, let it dry, then put in the tumbler with corn cob media, that the real shine takes place. I like this combination, because it's not too agressive to anything. Even the door lock knobs.0 -
