Cool - did anyone get a look at the instructions?

If I had a time machine...

I'd grab a modern electric wiper motor, with the intermittent wipers and give it to the Hudson designers.

That technology alone could have saved Hudson :p

Kind of strange the owners manual for my '50 lists one of these as an optional accessory but 50 had a split rear window and obviously this setup would not work!

Has anyone seen one of these installed on a Hudson, or have one installed on their car?
My brother Dan has one on his '49 Commodore Sedan. He has almost every

accessory that Hudson made available in '49 on his car. Including those

    ugly oversize front bumper gaurds
  • A long, long time ago (1981) when I was just barely a young adult, I had a '49 Commodore 8 with a working rear windshield wiper. Like the fronts, they were vacuum operated. It seems these would have been an option for all '48-'49 Hudsons and '50 Pacemakers and Pacemakers Deluxes(!).

In all of my "Hudsoning, I have seen only one of these rear wipers installed.

and I had a gas station attendent tell me he had one on a 50 Hudson.

Image that, so long ago there was a gas station attendent.

There are still 'attendents' at gas stations, but they typically just sell coffee, chips, soda and take your money for cash transactions -

However, at least one state does not allow the consumer to pump their own gas - New Jersey. At least it didn't, the last time I passed through (admittedly, that was a few years ago)...

. . . and have a foreign accent, because half the time, I can't understand what they're saying.:)
