Sal has a pair of these, look to be some sort of footrest??

These usually have four legs to hold them @ an angle for a footrest. Turn this over and you can probably see where the legs were cut off. They were used as a part of the Hudson Barber Chair. Footrest was for whoever was in chair.
I have also seen a pressure-relief foot pedal from a Hudson chair- Cast iron Hudson name hinged foot control that let the barber lower the chair. Does anyone else remember the days when the barber raised the height of the chair by pumping a long lever on the side of the chair? Man, I'm dating myself!
We (Dad) and I have about seven or eight of the foot rests, I gave a foot pedal to our local Essex racer for a step to enter car.0
