Head Gasket

I've got the engine back from Harkins--it looks like it came from the factory. Painted the engine yesterday and we're ready to put the head on.

I've read the prior posts on the subject. What's the consensus as to using a sealer and if so, which sealer? It is a copper gasket Harkins found somewhere. He said it is the last one in America????

Thanks.

    In the past I have had very good luck with KW Copper Spray available at most Major Auto Stores sprayed heavily on both sides hanging by a wire then inverted;

    However, If it is a 'copper head gasket' make sure it is a 'dead Soft gasket' meaning pliable like a regular asbestoes gasket... I am working with a copper gasket for the first time myself and found out the hard way they have to be dead soft but have no recomendation on sealer yet......,

    Suggest contact one of the WTN Suppliers to purchase a regular non copper gasket to save a lot of grief trying to seal.

    I second that recomendation. I've have a couple of friends that tried the copper gasket route. They didn't get the copper soft enough and had leaks. They gave up and went with regular non copper gaskets. I've had several supercharged engines in my cars and never had a problem with a good non copper gasket. Lee
