"severe usage" parts question

Were brakes included in the "severe usage" kit? I am wondering why my '54 Hornet coupe has metallic pads on the brake shoes.

    The use of metalic brake lining is NOT a Hudson Severe use option. Rebonding or riveting new linings to existing shoes or finding interchangeable shoes is likely the source of what you have discovered. ;)
