So, let's see if I am reading this right...
Seller wants to sell a Hudson. Well, a Hudson body, anyway, with a bastard conglomeration of parts made into a car. Is it titled, and if so, as what??? Won't provide pictures. Won't talk on the phone to a buyer. Will do email, though. Firm on price, cash only, even though he is jobless and allegedly hungry. Wants a potential buyer to travel to him, solely based on his whacko ad and trusting his description. So, I'd need to have a roll of $100 bills and my trailer to even go and look at this car, trusting that this guy isn't going to potentially shoot my head off and bury me in the Arizona desert somewhere, never to be found again...Hmmm.:p
Don't think so. These days, if a seller can't provide pics and discuss things before I show up, I am not even going to THINK about purchasing!0 -
Thats sure a good way to weed out the tire kickers- and everyone else , He might change his tune if contacted , maybe he" suffered to many fools " I know that feeling , but its part of the game0

Marked it as 'Best of CraigsList'...
Maybe he wrote it as a joke to get on "best of Craiglist"...From reading those "best of" posts, I think at least some of them are written for the expressed purpose of trying to get on the Best Of list.0 -

Probably right
Hope nobody takes the bait0 -
I responded to a car ad somewhat like this about five years ago and in the ad he defined it as a barn find type of car that needs a little work. When I got there I found a remarkable 1960 El Camino with 26K miles on it. (When I was not a Hudson fan, my sin of choice was Chevrolets--but I had never owned one that new.) I paid a thousand for it. I brought it home, cleaned it up and started driving it. It now has 70K miles on it and last week at a "drop-in" car show it won best original. I never throw stones until I see the target--- Just a thought.....:)0

Gonna go out on a limb here, and guess that you don't hang out on the street rodder board much. Actually, the "conglomeration" is some pretty good stuff, hot rod wise- If the body isn't a complete disaster, the package is probably worth the money. His attitude leaves a little to be desired, but if I was fairly nearby, I'd probably go see it.0 -

Make sure you let someone know before you go there, take a friend, seriously, I had an experience that will make me think twice about venturing on to some property of an individual that may very well be less than friendly.0 -

You are right. I hang out with HOT rodders, NOT the gold-chainer, fiberglass-bodied, cry-baby-doll-on-the-car-at-the-car-show-displaying, write-a-check-to-build-it, billet-is-it street rodders crowd, if that is what you are referencing. Yeah, he has some decent stuff there, but if he does not want to communicate, he's gonna have that crap for quite a long time!!! That is his problem.0
