Have they survived?

Hudson made some post-war airport limos and an ambulance is pictured in Butler's book. Those are LWB cars I'd like to find.0

I remember Elwyn Muzzey, I believe it was he, bought a rusty '42 airport limo. I'm sure he never did anything with it but have no idea of it's fate. I think that was when he was still living in Ohio.
One of my old Calif. Hudson buddies, Gary Klann, saw a "Hudsonall", which I think were only built in '41, in Riverside, Calif. - that would have been at least 30 years ago. I can't remember if he saw it on the road or in a junkyard.0 -
The Hudson All-Purpose Delivery was produced starting from September 1940 as a 41 model. It was not made after 1941. It used a Hudson drivetrain, but although I have no hard evidence, I don't think it was actually made by Hudson. Willy-Overland had an amost identical vehicle available through their dealers using a Willys drivetrain. Somewhere I heard that this delivery truck was produced by Checker under contract. Again, this is not verifed. Why it didn't pan out is open to speculation. They are likely the rarest Hudson vehicle around bar none.0

Hello,
Hudzilla is exactly right - Hudson contracted with Checker Cab Manufacturing Company to produce the All-Purpose Delivery body. There is a detailed article on the Hudson All-Purpose Delivery in the December 2005 issue of "Vintage Truck". According to the article, the All-Purpose Delivery used the Hudson passenger car chassis. The author of the article gave special thanks to John O'Halloran, HET Club librarian, for providing information for the article.
Take care,
Steve Bryson0
