Bob Hickson
Those of you who use this forum and are aware of 'BJ-TN' may not be aware of Bob Hickson's health right now. Bob is in an ICU unit on a vertilator and it dosen't look good. As some of you may know his heart has not been good for quite some time. Without going into a lot of details let me just ask you folks to say a prayer for Bob. He's one of the most decent people I know and I'm proud to have him as a friend. Those of you who don't know Bob may know something that he did to resurect a meet that was going under and almost dissapeared. Bob , with help from some folks at the Smokey Mountain Chapter essentially put the Pigeon Forge meet on the HET calender. It was his efforts and contacts that really made this meet a big hit. This year was going to be his last as his health issues were demanding more time. Hopefully that meet will continue and Bob will get well. Bob our prayers are with you and Judy.

I only met the fellow (and Judy) once, as I recall - at the Nashville National. I'm sorry to hear, tho I knew his health wasn't good.
I shall add my prayers and keep my thoughts focused on the positive.

Well a little update: Bob's off the ventilator and I was able for a very brief moment to talk to him. He isn't out of the woods yet but I think that there is more hope for him today than there was at this time yesterday. Thank the Lord.0

Hudzilla:
Your right, Bob is an example of a true Hudsonite. I think we've seen him at every Pigeon Forge meet we attended. He belongs to several Hudson clubs, and attends meeting when possible. He is good to offer help, share parts, and donate time to help the clubs. He, Judy and their family do need our prayers and support. Thanks for updating us about his health. (signed) another Bob0 -
Bob is one of the first Hudsonites I ever met in person. A true Ambassador for the cause in every good way.
Our thoughts and prayers are with him. May he be blessed with a recovery.0 -
My wife and I met Bob and Judy last year at our first PF meet, super people. We will pray for him. Richie.0

He has a Hornet Special like me. Bob has been a great help to me sorting out questions I have had about what I should and shouldn't have. Great Guy. Looks like the prayers are helping. I will add him into mine and maybe push him over the top and back into good health. Prayer does work

An update:
I talked with fellow SMHC member, Lloyd Whedbee, tonight, who had spoken with Bob. It doesn't appear that this recent illness is related to his past Heart problems. There was an issue with his Kidneys that appears to be connected to a kink in his colon that was putting pressure on the Kidneys. Bob has had Surgery and a portion of his intestines were removed.
He is still in the Hospital, but it looks like he's gonna pull through this one.
I'll post an update as soon as I hear anything further.

I've never met Bob being UK based but we have "talked" via email. I was sorry to hear of his illness but it does look as if he's fighting his way through it.
I wish him well.0 -
Another update:
I got a brief message from Judy today, it's not sounding too good for Bob at the moment. I have only known Bob & Judy for about 2 years, but it seems like more. They were very welcoming to me and my family, and always a pleasure to visit with. These are the kind of people anyone would be proud to have as friends & neighbors.
Please keep them in your prayers through these difficult times.0
