Parts needed for 38 Hudson 112
Trying to help my FIL get some parts for his 1938 Hudson 112. He's not very tech savvy and I'm not very car literate but thought maybe if we put our heads together we could get somewhere.
Anyways, here's the Hudson he's working on.

What he really needs is the driver's side garnish which would be the opposite of the one below.

Measures about 14 1/4" high on the inside and 32 1/8 long at the widest point inside to inside.
Other parts needed would be the door floor plates R and L.

Also need center grille molding and right door lock.
If anyone has any parts or any leads for where I might look, I'd be obliged for the help.

With luck, someone will have those parts for you. In the meantime, has your friend joined the Hudson club? There's a network of owners and parts vendors (many of whom hang out here, but many of whom don't) he can contact. Have him check Ebay too. And of course, if he's anywhere near a Hudson meet with a flea market, he should poke around there as well (you don't mention where he's located). The Club's official website is at http://www.hetclub.org/ and you can also try Classiccar's Hudson website at http://www.classiccar.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=130

Thanks Jon for the links.
As for the Hudson Club, my father in law and computers don't get along too well so he won't be joining unless he can find a newsletter from a local chapter near Va.0 -
There is a local chapter with a newsletter and the national club with a magazine. computers are not required but helpful.0

ACtually, we have a chapter in the Maryland / Northern Virginia area, and I would be happy to mail a newsletter to your father in law. There is another chapter covering southern Virginia / North Carolina. (No computer necessary for membership in either chapter!) Of course, membership in the National club is required before joining the local chapters.
You may get in touch with me at HETterraplane@verizon.net if you wish. Drop the HET before mailing0 -
Jon, sent email.
