Mayday! Mayday!!

My mechanic has lost that part of the throttle linkage that goes across the block from the left side to the carburetor. He says it is a rod that may have a bracket on it. Of course, I have looked at it a couple hundred times but couldn't sketch it if my life depended on it--well, his life depends on it now.
Does anyone have a schematic of a 1946 8-cylinder throttle linkage or can you direct me to one.
Or a picture of it would be helpful.
I'll wait until he gets the engine in the car before I strangle him.
Thanks

will you be going to the Pontiac National? I think I have a complete assy. for an 8, sure I have one for the 6 cyl. engine, which I could throw into the bed & bring along.0

Not going to Pontiac--too darn busy. I don't think the linkage for a 6-cylinder is interchangeable with an 8 but I'm not sure. Perhaps an expert will clarify this point??
Nor, am I sure the linkage will interchange on all 8-cylinder engines.
I would be grateful for clarification of these two points.
Thanks.0
