Engine Temp Sender

Anybody used a modern replacement temp sender that will work with the stock gauge? I want to hook it up to my Chevy small block, will be 12-volt negative ground. I checked Ken Cates page and searched the archives, but found nothing.

Original sending unit will work fine. I have used same one on our 51 for over 15 years with negative ground 12 volts.

sorry, I didn't notice you wanted one to fit small block chevy. I'm not sure of thread, but if it is 1/4" pipe thread, you can try Echlin TS-6464 or TS6164 or Wells TU-1 for all AMC 6 1956/57, all chrysler 8 56/56 and all Hornet V8 1956/57
