As promised, I have some information on a couple 'different' tech sessions happening at the National Meet. All are welcome to attend these 'special' sessions to see some things never done at a National Meet before.

Tuesday, July 14th 7:00-8:30 pm Hudson-Essex Era Session: We will have a panel of experts discussing the Hudson 20, Essex 4, Essex 6, and the Hudson 6. A very special guest, Geoff Clark, will be joining us 'live' via Skype to be a part of our outstanding panel of experts!

Tuesday July 14th 8:30-9:30 pm and repeated on Thursday July 16th 3:00-4:00 pm Ken Poynter's 'World Premier Hudson Video' -Hudson Motor Car Company: the Men, the Cars, and the Company. This is a video every Hudson enthusiast will want for their video library, with some very rare pictures and factory video from the collections of Ken Poynter and Jack Miller. The new video was directed by Ken Poynter in cooperation with Vidcam Productions, Inc. - a professional video production company in Michigan. The Home Chapter will be selling copies of this video at the meet for $20.

Please join us at the National for some very informative fun!

    Wednesday, July 15th 3:00 to 4:00 pm

I'm doing one on 'SEARCH AND RESCUE' getting Hudsons back on the road.

How we find them, and how they find us. What we have to do to them and how.

My talk will be illustrated with a slide show. Based on my ongoing experience with some 20 Hudsons, '36 thru '54, from 1955 until the present. Mine and some of my friend's cars. Covers common and uncommon problems, repair and restoration techniques.

I will also include at least one 3-minute Uncle Josh story from 100 years ago.

Yes, all the events will be posted near the registration lobby.
  • Sirs:

I havent seen anything in the WTN about a cost (0r charge) for the Tech sessions. Is there a fee/charge/cost for these sessions? Thanks, Bob

No charge for each session - you just have to be registered for the Meet and you can go to as many Tech sessions as you wish!
  • Thanks guys, maybe we'll meet budget on this trip. See you there. Bob

The tech sessions are of course free to all interested registered HET Members. This years tech sessions will not be lecture style as in the past. Bring your car questions and if you like your questionalble HET car parts and learn from the experts.

The "key" to the meeting is lots your questions.

Will they be videoed for sale later, for those of us that can't attend?

I can't speak for all of the Tech Sessions - It will really be up to those who are running the sessions to video them. The Hudson-Essex Era session that Sheldon and I are running will be video taped, and the session that Ken Poynter is running is actually a video that took nearly 8 months to produce (and will be on sale for all those who want a copy for $20). I hope to upload our video (Hudson-Essex Era) to the Club website if I can!
