'54 Wasp on Ebay

I found this interesting because I've never seen a stock Wasp with power steering and power brakes.

That car is worth saving, but OMG, what a nightmare!:eek:0

I have a gorgeous red and white '54 Super Wasp Hollywood pic in my screensaver, and every time it comes up, I think, "what a beautiful car!". Then I see this identical model, and I wonder why I ever thought that model is beautiful. Condition has a big influence on perspective, I guess.
You're right, its a lifetime "project", methinks.0 -

As you well know Mike, "Gorgeous" comes with a price.:D
When this post appeared I thought the car you refer to must be the Hudson Wasp in Tenn. Lots of money in that car. If it is that car, it used to belong to John Segedy and was a driver powered by a 308.
Bling comes with lots of $ and time.
The car on eBay is definately a rare item... PWR Steering and Brakes in a Wasp add leather and Twin H... what a car. I along with some others unknown to me have been corresponding with the owner. I asked for underside pictures ... Got 2 posted. It was my HOPE the Barn find car was rusty on the outside and the hard to fix stuff was spared. After looking at the requested pictures, my interest went to zero. Someone with the time and talent to use a parts donor to cut and paste can bring the car back, but it will be a labor of love and a money pit. Hope someone does get the car to restore, but my guess it will become a parts car.

Now that looks like a Bill A candidate for sure!

I agree with Ken on this one, completely. I, of course, am not one to talk, as y'all have seen what I fell in love with. I can certainly attest to the fact, that, the worse it is, the more it costs. The more bling you bring to the project, just exponentially increases the depth of the money pit. This fine example is doable, as I said, but it's still an OMG!
Projects like this aren't investments (maybe after several decades), but, they are truly, a "labor of love".0 -
Gus Souza And Son Just Did One Like This In Chicago. I Went Him Both Frame Rales From A Cal Lparts Car., He Said He Would Never Do Another With Rust Like That. I Say Get A Calif Car And Use That One For Spare Parts, Especially Accessories And The Stainless Trim. I Am Too Old To Start On Any More Rusty Cars, Can Spend My Time And Money On More Productive Projects, But Thanks For The Compliment, Bill Albright Btw Gus*s Car Will Be In The Albright Award At Pontiac, Look It Up0
