My 212 has developed a very bad high RPM miss. :mad: Seems it gets progressively worse as it warms up. Got to the point to where it barely got me home today after a show. :eek:

Thought it would be points or timing. But I checked both and they are spot on.

Next?:confused: (Man I had to dig into the carb.)

Any ideas from you genious'? slim:)

    First thing I would do is read the plugs. Find out which cylinder is affected. If the carb is rich for some reason they will all show it. If you have a problem with a given cylinder it may appear different from the rest.



    The other option is fuel starvation when it gets warm. Have you checked your fuel pump and lines for blockage? My fuel pump had quite a large rip in the diaphragm and still worked.



    Just a few things to try; I'm sure there will be more.

    Check your valve clearance, as the motor warms up and things expand the clearance changes.

    May sound weird, but in one case I had a bad wire to the coil. When it got warm there was expansion of course but the break was inside the wire when it got warm
