Cool! I'm not sure where it's located, but if it's in a dry area, you might even be able to salvage the floor pans and frame sections too! And you can probably get your $50 back by selling what's left, to the junkman!

Actually, I think that is a couple hundred less than the scrap value of the metal...

You'd be surprised. The chinese are eating up all our scrap and it's quite low right now. Our local yards are currently paying $2.00/100 lbs. which is nothing. A whole car only warrrants about $60. I'm waiting and stockpiling until it goes back up around $15/100.

    Yeah, that's why I haven't scrapped my '97 Caddy!!!! LOL :D

Hey, that thing casts a pretty good shadow, which is the main criteria for restoration. I just saw the hood ornament at the national for more than that.

Solid as can be? in the frame? That means it could see the road again if you so desired.

Looks too good to part out, Hope it doesn't end up that way, that is if perimeter is good.

Front floor pans are a little crusty- not a speck of rust anywhere else, would be a shame to part it out, but doubt its valuable enough to restore, its a 49 Commodore - was a real nice car in its day , its safe with me , it will go to inside storage when I get it cleaned up better.

Oh I dunno depends on if it's worth it to you. at $50 to aquire it, all the value in it would be cost of restoration. You could take it down to a rolling step-down chassis coat it all up in rust proofer and I bet there's still guys out there who would want that. Drop a decent 262 in it and all the parts from a parts car that's otherwise good but with a rusted out frame... could have quite a car.
