coil spring # for a stepdown
If anyone has access to part numbers, I am trying to find out if I have the standard front coil spring or the severe duty from a '54 Hornet. The number at the top of the spring is "307194". I just bought replacement springs and the coil thickness is slightly less than the original.

I would have guessed so, but a closer look at the book shows that all models (except Jet) used the same ones. Another interesting note is that while the standard springs differed left vs. right (left one is slightly taller), the optional lighter springs were the same for left and right side.
FWIW, I've found Coil Spring Specialties to be very knowledgable on these spring specs (and their prices are good).0
