I am having the same problem. It is different than before, but I know it is possible, just cannot get over the mental bump in front of me.

Not sure what you mean....I just copied the image location and pasted it here (this happens to be from a collection of cars in India). So, at least for me, it still works.0 -

My little mountain thingy which did work at one time now pulls up a page that says (404 Error) and won't give me the ability to post a pick. It use to work just fine like that.
Works in Safari but not IEwhatever I have... will now just visit Classiccar via Safari and dump IE for this site. Problem solved for me.

I have the same thing hudsonsoul, I hit browse, select the pic from my computer and enter it and then hit upload and it tells me the it is not the correct file type. It is a jpg same as I used in the past. I also tried the mountain thing with the error thing popping up. Richie.0 -

OK, maybe I found the reason, my pics are Dell Image expert pics, not sure if they are jpeg or not. I have followed the instructions in the reading and posting messages section and also the FAQ section. If I right click on a pic and try to paste it on the forum I can't, no paste option.0 -

Richie I had to switch browsers. That was the only way I could do it without error messages. I recommend Safari works great, but Firefox works too. I am kind of getting annoyed with Microsoft IE0 -

Hudsonsoul, I don't know how to change browsers, I'll ask my wife in the morning about that. Thank you, Richie.0 -

I am using Internet Explorer 7 and this was my problem that Richie, Onerare39, and RL Chilton all are having. I have iTunes on my computer and as a "bonus" they put Safari (another porthole to the Internet) on my computer.
When I use Safari or another Internet Browser I have no problems with posting pictures, but IE7 is unhappy.
Do not be too hard on our host here at ClassicCar they are doing a great deal to get everything working and as John pointed out and we all know it is free.
I hope this helps. I was getting ready to give up on posting pictures too until I switched Internet Browsers.

I understand, and have tried this several times. When I do that, it only posts the link, not the pic. I'm currently using Google Chrome as my browser.0 -

Trust me, I'm not complaining and I LOVE the new site. Just trying to teach an old dog new tricks sometimes takes a little more effort.
I've switched browsers as well, and am now using GoogleChrome. I think we're gong to try Firefox and see if that is easier. Hopefully, we'll download it later today.0 -
Let me try?...........Ok, tried it a few different ways. Copy and paste, the old way by managing attachments, resized the photo, then left it the way it was. Didn't work. I got the "404 error" and another way I got "invalid image". Don't know why, it worked before!
I got a good picture that I want to show too!
The next thing I plan on trying is to pick up the mouse and throw it as hard as I can at the monitor. Hopefully that will work.:D
Sheet metal is sooo much more co-operative than computers.:) .......I'm going back in the garage, where things make sense.:D0 -

Picture Posting Has Changed!!!!!
Out with the old and in with the new. We are asking members to use their Motorhood Garage space for uploading of Pictures. We will be closing the current site Photo Gallery later this year.
Motorhood is an online community where car enthusiasts can have some "Garage Space" to post Photos, Write a Blog, Comment on Articles, Post Videos, Find Friends, Post Your Twitter Updates (if you do that) or just Write on the Wall. The use is up to you as long as its family friendly.
Most members are already signed up via the Forums. If you are not, sign up only take a minute to do. Once signed-in, you can add the Photo Gallery to your space and start uploading photos.
Once loaded, open the desired photo in your photo gallery and right-click on the image. For FireFox users, select "Copy Image Location", for IE users, select "Properties" once the dialog box opens, highlight and copy the "Address (URL)", for Safari (PC) right-click and select "Copy Image Location"....then paste in your forum post as a link or by using the Insert Image icon on post editor.
Your image should display as any other image. Remember, for images to show in the forums, the image must be upload to some web space location. There is no direct image upload to the Forum at this time.
