The H-E-T Club's hospitality trailer will be open for business at the Red Field of the Hershey flea market, from Wednesday, October 7 through Saturday, October 10. The space number is #RNE 24-25.
The Quality Inn, 30 miles west of Hershey in Carlisle (1255 Harrisburg Pike, intersection of I-81 and Rte. 11), offers discounted rooms to Hudsonites. Simply call the Quality Inn’s at 717-243-6000 and say that you’d like the Hudson club discount. A large number of Hershey-bound Hudson enthusiasts stay in this motel each year.
H-E-T volunteers will maintain a hospitality room just off the motel’s front lobby on Friday after 4:00 P.M., and on Saturday afternoon and evening. Stop by before or after dinner to meet friends and have a snack.
A Hudson dinner is scheduled at 6:00 P.M. Saturday evening at the Sunnyside Restaurant, 850 N. Hanover Street, three miles west of the Quality Inn on Route 11. A room has been set aside there for the get-together. Dress is casual, no reservations are required, and each person orders ‘off the menu’.
On Sunday morning, Oct. 11, an all-Hudson flea market will take place in the Quality Inn's rear parking lot from 7:00 A.M. to noon. There is no charge to vendors and no pre-registration is necessary..
Volunteers are needed to staff the Hershey booth and to offer their Hudsons for display there. It’s an excellent opportunity to meet Hudsonites from around the world, and to help recruit new members to the Club. It’s also an easy way for older Club members to partake of the fun of Hershey, without having to walk several miles a day! Those who display Hudsons, can drive right into the flea market in the morning and out at night, dispensing with parking fees and the long walk to and from outlying lots! Boy, time just gets away,Fall Hershey is almost here. I will also be attending. Jeff Perkins and I always have fun at this great fall meet. It always proves to be a good time, regardless of any type of weather-rain or shine. The AACA car show on Saturday morning is one of the best vintage, all original shows you can possibly attend. Cars from 1900 to 1984-[25years]. Ya, I know,an '84 model that is called an antique. This definately makes it possible for a young car entusiust to afford a car ,and that's the rules. In my view,it exposes them to other brands and models that they might not be able to afford currently but plants the seed for the future. Kudos to all the participants as well as all the staff that make this possible year after year!!!! CG:)0
