Does anyone have a diagram of the inside of a vacuum tank (Fuel) of how everything is to be set-up for a 1931 Essex super six

Thanks George

Don't forget to bookmark the page I mentioned, earlier. That has a lot of Hudson technical literature you can download.

The Stewart vacuum tank manual (above) was posted there, listed under the 1929 model year. However, the 1931 Essex mechanical specs sheet (also posted there) indicates that the "Stewart" vacuum tank is used in 1931 as well. The two vacuum tanks are not identical I'm sure, but I'll bet they're similar.
  • George,

I have a copy of the Stewart Vacuum System that my daughter found on the internet and copied for me years ago.

It shows the set up and how it works, care and repair and the part numbers.

It is too many pages to scan and e-mail but I would be glad to mail you a copy if you want/

I can be contacted at HETRNBSIMS@maratineer.net (be sure to drop the HET).

I have a 1927 Essex Super 6 that I cleaned out the pump when I restored in 2003 and it has not given any problem since.

I have a parts catalog for the 1930 Essex which has an excellent pic of the internals of the vacuum tank if you want a copy.
