Hi, "500" is for 1950 Pacemaker, These are narrow block.

1950 Pacemaker 232 block. Although I have seen some 1950's without 500 cast into the head (but it is possible the head was replaced at a later date). 500 was the series number for Pacemakers. 50A for pacemaker deluxes although "50A" was not cast into any blocks.0

That's what I thought. Also, these heads are not interchangeable on anything but the narrow blocks, correct?0

For the record, my 1950 50A Pacemaker Deluxe(!) has a 500 head. And yes, the narrow heads are only good on the narrow blocks just as the wide heads can only be used on the wide blocks. There you have it!0
