Might can help but have a couple of questions. What is an "auto-poise" bracket? Are you referring to the bracket the panhard bar mounts to? When referring to the mounting brackets do you mean the pads that position/locate the rear axle to the springs?
As a side question which 9" rear axle are you using? I would like to convert my 47 Brougham to a 9".0 -

yes, need the spring mounting pads, the panhard bar mount bracket, and the wheel mount surface to wheel mount surface measurement so I can get a 9" ford rear cut down to fit. running a LS2 corvette motor in the truck, so needed a stronger rear end. I will be using a currie enterprises rear housing with a strange engineering pro nodular case and pinion support.0 -
You need the whole thing, or just some parts off of it?
If just parts, I'm not sure what you need, pictures (if available) would be helpful...
actually just the spring pad mount brackets, and the panard bar (anti-sway) mount. or the whole thing. just need an outside drum to outside drum measurement, and the mount pads cut off hudson rear end.0 -

If you are using a Curie housing have them install the spring mount pads and panhard bar bracket. They should come included in the price of the axle but if not pay extra to have NEW pads and brackets installed. Makes no sense to install 60+ year old cut off pads and brackets on a new axle housing. It would also probably be better to convert the current panhard bar to a newer unit with adjustable Heim end joints. This will allow for adjustment that you don't have on the stock panhard bar as well as doing away with the rubber bushings.
The dimension of wheel mount surface to wheel mount surface is 60-1/2 inches for the passenger cars. Not sure for the trucks. Also the spring perch pads on the axle need to be mounted at an angle as the rear springs on Hudsons taper in toward the front. You should be able to measure this angle on your vehicle.0 -
thanks Rck and Birdman!! got the measurement now, so I can order my housing (ford). I never thought of making a custom panhard bar for the rear, would be a sturdier unit if I followed birdmans thoughts. still trying to use as many stock parts as can for the "resto-rod" !! using stock front suspension, just converting to disc brake.0
