To Uncle Josh re installing front springs
Uncle Josh, I did what you said and it worked great; got some threaded rods then raised the support arms with a floor jack to a point where the holes lined up, about 6 inches from the top. Fed the rods through the bolt holes and put a nut on each end. The slowly and evenly tightened the nuts on the rods. It pulled the support arms right into position.
What would a first time restorer like me do without this forum? I shudder to think.
