47 fuel sending unit
Does anyone know where I can get a working fuel sending unit for a 1947 Commodore 6? Are new NOS or replacements available, or do I need to watch Ebay? I think I can get mine rebuilt somewhere, but can't remember where or how much. It's annoying trying to remember if I have gas or not. I used to fill up every 100 miles but gas costs so much now sometimes I put $5 in 2 or 3 times then I have no idea how much gas I have.

Hello coreywalker,
I recently purchased a fuel sending unit from Paul Schuster for my 1947 Cab Pickup. It is a newly-made unit, and will require shortening the float arm to fit your application. I am not to the point of being ready to install mine yet.
Mr. Schuster's forum name is PAULLARGETYPE.
Take care,
